Answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, get in touch.
Contact: asc.is/support, where you can chat with us or send a message.
To help us help you, tell us your device (for example iPhone 16 or MacBook Air M2), its iOS, iPadOS or macOS version, and what happened just before the problem.
Purchases
Restoring a purchase
Tap the menu button (☰) on the map, or Menu on the New City screen, then Restore Purchase. On Mac, use that same in-game button: the City menu in the menu bar does not include Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Purchases restore on every iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to that account.
Family Sharing
What can be shared with a family group is listed on Digicity's App Store page, under In-App Purchases. If sharing matters to you, check there before buying.
Refunds
Apple handles every App Store payment, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves.
Saving your cities
My city disappeared
Without the Saving purchase, Digicity cannot save. If the app is closed, or the system ends it while you are in another app, that city is gone and cannot be recovered. This is how the free game works, and it is explained on the first screen you see. With Saving, you can save as many cities as you like from the menu button (☰) on the map, or Menu on the New City screen and load them later. There is no autosave, even with Saving, so save before you close the app or switch away for long.
Keeping cities in iCloud
Once you own Saving, open the menu button (☰) on the map, or Menu on the New City screen and turn on Keep my cities in iCloud. Do this on each device, and your saved cities appear on every device signed in to the same Apple Account. The switch needs iCloud to be signed in on the device. A city that has not finished downloading is marked as downloading until it arrives.
Devices
- iPhone: iOS 26.0 or later, Digicity 26.9 or later.
- iPad: iPadOS 26.0 or later.
- Mac: macOS 26.0 or later on a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later.
Playing on iPhone
On iPhone, Digicity plays in landscape only. Hold the phone sideways. The tool palette opens as a drawer over the city and closes when you pick a tool.
iPhone support starts with Digicity 26.9. A new download from the App Store is always current; if an older copy is on the phone, update it there.
Playing on Mac
Digicity runs on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 26.0 or later. Find it in the Mac App Store under iPhone & iPad Apps; it is the same app and the same purchases as on iPhone and iPad. Intel Macs are not supported.
Accessibility
Digicity is built with VoiceOver labels on its controls, and keyboard shortcuts work throughout, including the space bar to pause and resume. It has not been through a full VoiceOver audit. If a screen does not read the way it should, tell us — that is a bug and we will fix it.
