Who we are

Digicity is made by A Secret Company, LLC, based in Vancouver, Washington, USA. You can reach us at asc.is/support.

This policy covers the Digicity app on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and this website, digicitybuilder.app.

In the game

What we do not collect

Digicity contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party trackers. It does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts or photos, and there is no account to create. The game runs on your device and does not need a network connection to play. When it has one, the only services it contacts are Apple and RevenueCat, to check and deliver purchases, and iCloud if you turn that on.

Your cities

Cities you save are stored on your device. If you turn on Keep my cities in iCloud, your saved cities are stored in your own iCloud account by Apple so they appear on your other devices. We cannot see or access them. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account.

Digicity uses RevenueCat to confirm and restore purchases. When the game opens with a connection, and when you buy or restore, it checks your purchases with RevenueCat using an anonymous app user ID that RevenueCat generates. For anything you buy, RevenueCat also receives the App Store transaction record. As with any network request, RevenueCat's servers see your IP address and basic app and device details. This purchase history and random identifier are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you or to show you ads; they are how a purchase unlocks the game and comes back after you reinstall.

Crash reports from Apple

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn this off in Settings under Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

On this website

digicitybuilder.app sets no cookies and has no advertising, embedded social media or third-party trackers.

We measure visits with Matomo, an analytics tool we run on our own server. It runs only when JavaScript is enabled, with cookies disabled, and it does not count visits from browsers that send Do Not Track. It records the pages visited, the referring site, your IP address, and general browser and device details. This information stays on our server and is not sold or shared.

Like any web server, ours records standard request logs (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure.

Children

Digicity is rated 4+. It does not ask anyone, including children, for personal information. The only data that leaves the device is the purchase check and random ID described under Purchases, used only to deliver purchases.

Your choices

• On iPhone and iPad, deleting Digicity removes the cities stored on the device (copies can remain in your device backups).
• Turn off Keep my cities in iCloud to copy your cities back to the device.
• Turn on Do Not Track in your browser, or block JavaScript, to stop this website counting your visit.
• Ask us anything about your information at asc.is/support, including a request to see or delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.

Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Digicity (the "App"), made by A Secret Company, LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them, together with the Privacy Policy above and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

1. The game

Open Build, the sandbox, is free to play in full. The free game cannot save: if you close the App, or your device ends it in the background, the city you were playing is lost and cannot be recovered. The App tells you this before you begin. Saving, Scenario eras and Ultimate are optional one-time purchases.

2. Purchases and refunds

All purchases are non-consumable, are not subscriptions and do not expire. They are sold and processed by Apple under Apple's terms and can be restored with Restore Purchase in the App's menu on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. Purchases are not shared through Family Sharing. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. Intellectual property

The App, including its art, code, design and text, belongs to A Secret Company, LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.

4. No warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to make it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or that saved cities can never be lost.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Secret Company, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Clark County, Washington.
